 YOUTH & LEADERSHIP AWARD

We invite youth aged 12 to 18 years of age to submit project proposals for funding consideration under the Youth and Leadership Award.

This award is funded by the interest earned on the following permanent endowments: Youth in Sport, Youth Opportunities, and Adventure Realm Canada Fund. 

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

  • Youth between 12 and 18 years old who are: working for local community benefit, demonstrating leadership in the community, or creating youth opportunities in sport or outdoor activities

  • Must apply under partner charity or Not-For-Profit

  • Project must serve Golden and Area A


CANTLE GRANT PROGRAM

The Cantle Grant Program was developed in 2021 to increase access to arts in Golden and Area A. Originally it sought to support individual pursuits, then arts educators and facilitators, and is now open to all arts projects!

Currently the grant accepts any project application related to the arts that serves Golden and Area A. Funds from this grant can be used to cover participant expenses, facilitators, visiting artists, facilitated workshops, art(s) supplies, or large equipment.

This award is funded by the interest earned on the Cantle Family Fund.

There is $1,770 available in 2024.

Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Check out the list below for eligible arts projects - please reach out if you don’t see yours listed here. We’re open to all things arts!

Eligibility: 

- must serve Golden and Area A

- must be related to the arts 

- applicant must be aged 12 or older

Application Documents

What arts can be supported through this grant?

  • Visual arts such graphic arts/design and painting

  • Music, such as individual instrumental skills or voice, with no limit in respect to type of instrument or genre

  • Photography

  • Printmaking

  • Pottery and sculpture

  • Theatre and film

  • Dance

  • Puppetry

  • Writing (fiction, non-fiction and poetry), any genre

  • Comedy
